London Printworks Trust will be hosting its annual deluxe sample sale, Brixton fRocks, in January 2008. This event has proved hugely successful in the two years it has been running, so will be returning in the New Year to chase away those post-Christmas blues and offer buyers fantastic bargains from many of the UK’s leading fashion, interior and accessory designers including Eley Kishimoto, Peter Jensen, Emma Cook, Linda Florence and Dawn Dupree.
London Printworks Trust is a registered charity which aims to promote contemporary and experimental printed textiles. It offers a range of services which combines textile print facilities, small scale production, reprographic facilities, exhibitions, educational activities and professional development. It is used by over 300 practitioners including many high profile designers including Jonathan Saunders, Linda Florence and Zandra Rhodes.
Fashion
UK’s top fashion labels Eley Kishimoto, Peter Jensen and Emma Cook’s highly sought after brands will be selling at the January event, offering buyers a chance to snap up their distinctive clothing at unbelievable prices. Fashion lovers can also splash out on Perfectly Flawed London, Michelle Lowe-Holder, Jessica James, Girl Gang and Bezem y Mailan. Baby wear will also be available from Indigo and men’s wear from Linda Florence, me&mynan and Peter Ibruegger.
Interiors
Stylish yet affordable home wares will be on sale from Linda Florence – best known for her intricately hand-made wallpaper; Dawn Dupree, Samantha Warren, Helen Minns and Perry + Perry, all of whom will be selling ranges of their work including wall pieces, lampshades, cushions, tea towels and aprons.
Accessories
Accessories are brought to you by Florrie, designers and makers of Brighton’s exclusive lambs wool knitwear and Uncommonly Beautiful Recycled accessories, producers of beautifully handcrafted recycled jewellery.
Brixton fRocks aims to promote design-led work to new audiences and to give Londoners an opportunity to buy exclusive work direct from the designers. There’s something for everyone at every price level.
